Campfire Chicken Gyros

This Campfire Chicken Gyro recipe is a tantalizing twist on the classic gyro, infused with the rustic flavours of outdoor adventure. Imagine tender, chicken, kissed by flames and nestled in a soft pita, adorned with a medley of fresh, crisp veggies and a drizzle of creamy tzatziki. Whether you're gathered around a campfire or simply craving a taste of the great outdoors, this gyro masterpiece is your ticket to savouring the essence of camping, no matter where you are.
  • 2 Chicken Breasts with Greek maranade and seasoning
  • 1 Pint of cherry tomatoes
  • 1 Zucchini
  • 1 Red Pepper
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 1 TBSP Olive Oil
  • 6 Greek Pitas
  • 1 Container of Tzatziki (homemade if you prefer)


  1. Fire up your Coulee (we used the Coulee Colorado)
  2. Chop veggies and thread onto skewers, alternating variety
  3. Drizzle on EVOO, ensuring all veggies surfaces is covered so the veggies don't stick to the grill
  4. Cut chicken breasts into small 1 inch cubes and thread onto skewers
  5. Once fire is hot, place skewers on grill
  6. Grill for 10 minutes, flipping halfway
  7. Add pitas to grill to warm for approx. 1 minute, flipping halfway
  8. Remove everything from grill, spread tzatziki on pita, add desired veggies and chicken and enjoy!
